Every type of goods are classified by a commodity code to enable easy identification by customs, to collect trading data and to apply the correct applicable rates of duty and taxes.
As you may be aware, the World Customs Organisation reviews the commodity codes every 5 years. Following the latest review, a number of the codes in the UK integrated tariff changed on 1 January 2022.
