At the heart of our sustainability journey is Merharbaan Singh, our Sustainability Strategy Lead, who is spearheading a comprehensive and practical approach to reducing our environmental impact across the business.

Merharbaan’s work focuses on embedding sustainability into the everyday decisions that shape how we operate. Rather than treating it as a standalone initiative, he is building a strategy that touches every part of our organisation—from operations and logistics to office habits and supplier relationships.

A Holistic Approach to Sustainability

One of the key strengths of this approach is its breadth. Merharbaan is currently leading initiatives across several critical areas:

• Utilities and Resource Efficiency
  A detailed review of how we consume energy and other utilities is underway, identifying opportunities to reduce usage, improve efficiency, and lower emissions.
• Waste Management
  By rethinking how we handle waste across our sites, the focus is on minimising what we send to landfill and increasing reuse and recycling wherever possible.
• Transport and Logistics Optimisation
  From improving truck capacity fill to refining routing strategies, these efforts aim to reduce unnecessary journeys, cut fuel consumption, and lower our overall carbon footprint.
• Responsible Supply Chain Engagement
  Sustainability doesn’t stop at our own operations. We are actively reviewing the environmental objectives and strategies of our suppliers—including carriers and hauliers—to ensure alignment with our values and ambitions.
• Reducing Consumables and Paper Usage
  Both in the office and the warehouse, we are taking steps to minimise the use of consumables and paper, encouraging more sustainable alternatives and digital-first practices.
• Employee Awareness and Training
  Lasting change depends on people. By increasing awareness and providing practical training, Merharbaan is helping colleagues across the business understand their role in driving sustainability forward.
